Spring is Upon us........or is it Wintertime still?

I think Mother Nature decided to pull a early April Fool's joke. This is what we woke up to today. It snowed some yesterday too, but it was trying to melt by evening time. This looked like it was going to be a doozy of a storm, but 5 mins. later the clouds parted and the sun came out. Just Saturday it was nice and sunny and very warm, with a lot of strong spring wind. We were hopeing that the warm weather was here to stay. It'll be fun to see what tomorrow brings rain, sun or more snow? Have a Happy April Fool's Day tomorrow!

Weekend Fun!

So we have pizza and movie night a lot on the weekends at our house. It's a way to spend time together and watch a family show the kids will usually like and sit down and watch. This is a cheap way for us to "see a movie"(waiting till we can rent them at Redbox). Also it was a tradition my family(Jo) had when we were growing up. I remember Friday or Saturday night before any of us kids could drive we would go in as a family and rent a couple movies and VCR, then pick up a pizza or Mom would make homemade. Then we'd go home and watch movies till everyone fell a sleep. Later when we could drive, it was a treat to drive in and pick the movies (usually with a stong suggestion from our Parents)ourselves and pick up a pizza from Papa Murphy's and come home to family movie night. I'm glad our boys seem to like this tradition too. So Friday night we watched Bee Movie and made homemade pizza calzones. The movie was pretty good, Corbin liked it a lot until the end when he finally fell asleep. Aidan lasted about 20 minutes into it and wouldn't stay around so we put him to bed. He wasn't to thrilled about that, but after a fit, sip of milk and hugs&kisses, he was out. Nate and I enjoyed the whole thing. Then Saturday Morning, Cowboy Nate with the help of his Cowboy assistant Chefs, made his verison of Ham Hash. It was pretty yummy....fried potatoes, ham, green peppers and onions covered with cheese what's not to like! Corbin and Aidan have had a lot of fun playing Chef all weekend with Dad! The hats are usually Corbin or Aidan's idea. I've had fun watching them and taking their pictures for memories! I love these times the most because we all seem so Happy and have lots of fun being together with out all the hooplaa, stresses and expenses of going out somewhere.

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a great weekend Celebrating! We did! We took the boys to see Horton hears a Who on Friday night and they loved it! It's the first movie that Aidan and I didn't have to leave even once, because he enjoyed it enough to actually watch it. Anyway it's a good movie for the whole family! Saturday morning we took the boys to the Dinosuar Museum for an Easter Egg Hunt. It wasn't the best place for a hunt. It was a single file line thru the museum with all the big kids and parents with little babies in the front getting all the eggs. We went through several rooms before we were able to get anything. Then we went to Lowes(the Store) to get some things to fix our front screen door. The boys had a great time driving their race car! Later we had our own Egg Hunt on the front lawn and dyed Eggs. The boys were spoiled by the Easter Bunny on Sunday Morning and then had a good day at Church learning about Jesus. Later we had a Ham dinner and watched Peter Cotontail. It would have been nice to be home with family, but gas prices are only going up and we'd already made a short trip before Easter and have more trips coming in April. It was still nice and cosy to be together with our little family. We hope everyone had a nice weekend also and are happy and well!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Nate has a work lunch party for every Holiday and families are invited. The boys love going to eat lunch with their Dad and Nate loves showing them off. Corbin and Aidan are well acquainted with everyone he works with and provide lots of entertainment for them. So for St. Patricks Day we went and had lunch with Nate. Corbin found it was fun to drink ice cream slushies from a green miniture beer mug and Aidan just played shy and hugged my shoulder except when he was eating. Afteward we went to the Dinosaur Museum for fun, this is the Utahraptor famous from Jurastic Park. Apparently they have really found these dinosaurs in Utah. As you can see my boys would rather check out everything around them then look cute for the camera. Apparently their shamrock beads were pretty interesting too! Later in the week Nate and I went to a work conference on retirement(interesting, but not really a fun topic to listen too). Thanks to Nate's parents keeping our boys overnight, we got a night out by ourselves. We went to Rodizio Grill and went hot tubbing at the Hotel then to the conference the next day. For lunch we went to a place called Big City Soup, it's down by the Gateway. If you like soup and bread this place is awesome and not very expensive at all. Not as fun as everyone else's trips but a fun relaxing night and day out for us!

Tagged!.....Four Things You May Not Know about My Boys!

Here is a few things about our two Awesome Boys! We love them more than we can express and only hope to be able to show them each day! Nate and I are so very grateful and happy to have Corbin and Aidan as our sweet, sweet boys! They truly light up our lives every day of it! We can't ask for much more than that! We are a Happy Family!
AIDAN
Aidan doesn't have a real nickname, because we couldn't figure out a good one with his initals. So we call him "Aidy" most of the time, this is what Corbin came up with. Aidan is our little mellow fellow. He is often found sitting on a pile of story books reading one to himself. He loves books, especially if you're willing to read to him. Aidan is a sweet heart and loves to snuggle. He often climbs up on our laps, just to sit and cuddle why'll we watch t.v.. Aidan loves music and likes to dance by spinning in circles and bouncing to the music. Aidan loves being outside and will wait at the door or window with shoes in hand if he thinks he has a chance to go out. He loves to play with Corbin and can get Corbin to play chase with him every day, several times a day. Aidan follows Corbin around all day waiting to see what they will play next. He also likes to give hugs and kisses to Corbin and his parents. We love all we can get! Aidan likes to pat you on the back as he is giving hugs, it's pretty cute! He has a grin that melts our heart especially when he's gotten himself into mischief! We Love You Aidan!

CORBIN

Corbin's nicknamed "C.J." by his Grandpa who he is also named after. Corbin is full of energy and all boy! He is the roughest, tumbliest boy I know and some how very rarely gets hurt. He is a natural at sports and anything that involves athletics. He loves music and to sing. He can make up words to any tune and it still sounds like the same song. Corbin loves his family and especially his little brother. He takes good care of him and is his protector. He likes to surprise Aidan and his parents with hugs and kisses and an "I Love You...Mommy, Daddy, or Aidan!". Of course we all love it! Corbin can often be found playing some action figure like Spiderman, Superman or his own made up Orange Man. He is always out to save the world! Corbin is honest to the bone! It doesn't take much to get the truth out of him, just by questioning him once or twice; he spills the beans, usually on himself. He can get himself out of about any trouble by giving us an infectious grin and saying "Mommy are you still mad at me? Do you still love me when I'm bad?" We Love You Corbin!

I am tagging Harmony and Katie. Have fun, can't wait to read about your kids!

What's New?

The boys and I just got back from a weekend trip home. We all had a great time! The boys were able to play lots with cousins and Grandparents. I was able to get a minute to go to Jer's baby shower and get together with my good friend Janae. Thanks Mom and Dad I really appreciate the well needed break and I think the boys do too! We all ended up having colds for the most of the trip but that didn't stop the boys from playing hard. So I didn't take any pictures of the boys because every one of them would have runny noses in it, yuck! When we got back to our house I had a nice surprise waiting for me! Nate had made some shelves for my spice cabinet. Thank you honey, I love it! I know to some that might not do much for them, but I know he was at least thinking of me while we were gone!

Sitting in our Snow!

The Boys were dying to get outside and play, so we went out for a walk since it's been a bit warmer the last few days. It's been so warm we have a constant rain shower happening right outside our front door(we are installing gutters first of Spring!). Also the snow has melted a lot where we still have only dirt or now mud, and of course my boys have found the mud! I have to wash their shoes off everyday and all they did was walk to the car or out to get the mail with me, or so I thought. Anyway they had their snow boots on today and had a fun time romping in the snow banks, that we still have. As you can see I found a good trap for Aidan so he couldn't wander too far....he really was stuck and that was the point! He had fun just picking at the snow trying to mash it. I did help him romp around in the smaller snow banks, so he wasn't stuck there for very long. Corbin on the other hand had a great time making his tracks all over and I had to tackle him in the snow to get him to come in the house....he can run pretty fast but not so much when he's up to his knees in snow! They had fun and I had fun, it made for a good day, what more could you ask for!
