This is Us, our Family!

Nate and I met at USU and were married a year later. We stayed in Logan until Nate finished his degree, then we moved to Davis County. We lived in several different cities in Davis County. While there our family grew also and now we have our 2 handsome little boys. They are our life and we our so very happy to have them! They make everyday fun and exciting! We are now living in Vernal and loving it! Each day is an adventure and full of energy thanks to our boys! I have the blessing to be at home with Corbin and Aidan everyday thanks to my hard working Husband. I love being a Mom and a Wife! I love my family more than anything! This blog is a collection of our lives and our family love story. Happy Blogging!

Small Wonders....

As we have been mourning the death of our beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinkley as well as been grateful for his chance to reunite with his wife that we'resure brought him much happiness. We have been trying to explain what's going on to Corbin. At first when we would tell him that President Hinkley has died and went to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus in Heaven, then he would ask funny questions like "Where'd he go? and Why?". As we watched the Funeral procedings on T.V. today we learned a great deal from our sweet little 3 year old spirit. As President Monson was talking and saying his closing remarks, I was talk to Corbin one more time explaining that President Hinkley when to Heaven to be with his wife and Heavenly Father and why we have funerals to honor people. He just kept saying o.k. to everything. As they were playing some of the video clips and things of the Prophet at the end, Corbin says "What's wrong with President Hinkley?" Of course we tell him again nothing is really wrong, he has died and Heavenly Father needs him more that we do now. He then says "President Hinkley is happy with Heavenly Father?" and "I am so sad, I will miss him so much!" Then Corbin sat down at his Dad's feet and you could tell by the look on his face that he was understanding what was going on and he really was sad. Oh what we can learn from the sweet inocents of children! We picked him up and gave him and Aidan lots of hugs! Corbin decided that it was o.k. for our Heavenly Father and Sister Hinkley to need President Hinkley more than we did. The rest of the day we spent as a family going to the Dinosaur Museum and running errands together, but mostly just being together and making sure we showed our love for one another. We could have cleaned the house and did a million other projects that we eventualy do need to get to. Instead we decided we needed a time-out to be together as a family and create as many memories as possible. It was time well spent and one of my favorite things to do! To all our other family members: We love you all tons and tons and we miss you all too! We hope you are all happy and well! We hope to be able to spend more time with all of you!
Love you,
the Packer Family
