This is Us, our Family!

Nate and I met at USU and were married a year later. We stayed in Logan until Nate finished his degree, then we moved to Davis County. We lived in several different cities in Davis County. While there our family grew also and now we have our 2 handsome little boys. They are our life and we our so very happy to have them! They make everyday fun and exciting! We are now living in Vernal and loving it! Each day is an adventure and full of energy thanks to our boys! I have the blessing to be at home with Corbin and Aidan everyday thanks to my hard working Husband. I love being a Mom and a Wife! I love my family more than anything! This blog is a collection of our lives and our family love story. Happy Blogging!

Just a little Scare!

Something I thought would be good to share so others are aware and can protect themselves the best we can.  The other day I got a call from the Fraud Department of my Credit Card asking if I could athorize a charge from some Gambling website in Texas for $100.  Of course I knew I didn't make the purchase and Nate didn't make the purchase, so I had him look up our account just to check.  He couldn't acess it because the Fraud Dep. had blocked it, but the phone # matched the one they gave me to call them back.  So long story short.  There were over 7 charges made for $100 or more all in one day.  How did this happen....somehow the people or person had gotten my account # electronically along with probably hundreds of others through a computer or credit card swiper box.  Scary thing is there is no way to protect yourselfs from this happening.  I'm grateful for my Credit Card company and them monitoring my account so closely.  I don't have to pay any of the bogus charges.  They will be wiped off my account completely.  They closed my account immediatly so nothing else would go through and they send out a new account # and cards with in a week.  That at least makes me feel a bit protected.  Also there is a fraud investigation going on to stop this and I guess they will be contacting me when there is information on that.  Anyway just a Beware and I hope no one else has this happen to them.  Lesson learned:  you can never be too careful, and you can't always protect yourself or garantee that you won't be scammed no matter how careful you are.  Good Luck to All!

Its a crazy world and people out there. I had something like that a few years back, luckily my credit card company called to confirm the charges and then gave me a new account #.

We had it happen to us just last year. It was only one charge for about $25, but our credit card company caught it. I'm really glad they did, but I was still tempted to cut up my cards and go all cash.

I'm glad our credit card company caught it and called us too. Otherwise, who knows how many more charges would have been racked up. We're glad we don't have to pay any of it.

Scary Jo! It scares me that there is really no way to prevent it! They seem to get the credit card numbers one way or anyother! Glad it worked out for you!

Yikes! We have had ours used a few times... We were once tipped off because we had a monthly subscription to a gourmet coffee club arrive at our house- yeah we didn't order that! Glad you caught it quick.
