Over the weekend Nate took Corbin on his first Fathers and Sons camp-out. They both had a blast and came home exhausted! Corbin took a nap for me on Saturday and Sunday that's pretty unusual around here! He's usually giving me an excuse why he needs to stay up and some how avoids actually taking his nap. The boys went up Friday night had dinner with the other Fathers and Sons, ran around till dark, then tried to get comfortable all night in their tent. After not much sleep because Corbin was waking up quiet frequently throughout the night, they ran around in the dirt, had breakfast put on by Bishopric and packed up and came home. This picture is of Corbin on one of their many hikes around camp. While Nate and Corbin were gone, Aidan and I had our own party at home. We went to Mcdonalds and Aidan loved being his own one man show! Then we came home put Aidan in the tub and his jammies. Aidan was thrilled to get a bath all to himself and not get splashed, squirted or drowned, by big Brother. After jammies we went on a stroller ride around the neighborhood another one of Aidan's favorite activities. In fact both our boys have always loved stoller rides and it makes it a fun family activity like on Sunday afternoons, etc. After our stroll we snuggled in the Lazy-Boy recliner with a story and cup of milk and then I rocked Aidan till he went to sleep. He was my buddy all the rest of the weekend comming up to get hugs and kisses and just sit on my lap. I think it was his way to say thanks for paying attention to me and giving me my day too. On Saturday we had "Big" plans to get a lot of work done inside and outside the house and get Nate's car fixed so we could take it up to his parents and try to sell it since we planned to come up this week. Not very much got done, but we did take a picnic to the park and had fun as a family, bought the part for Nate's car but can't fix it, yet.....a whole nother story! Anyway so by Monday we figured out that I would have to scrap my plans to go up to see family early and do a Girls Time-out with my Best Friend Janae(never mind we've been trying to make this outing happen for the past oh, 3 years or so)because Nate would be here stranded or we'd have to spend gas taking 2 cars up just to bring 2 cars back(=lots of $$$ wasted on high gas prices). So we will be up over the weekend for Grandma "Grapes" 90th Birthday Party and Memorial Day. Oh and Nate left this morning for a week in New Mexico on a work Conference. That leaves the boys and I home together trying to find something fun and exciting to do....we're thinking it might warm up enough to try out our little swimming pool or maybe just the sprinkler. The other pictures here are of Aidan with his Baby...he discovered them in Nursery and takes such good care of it, he even insisted on having it take a nap with him the day he got his doll. Corbin has really taken to taking care of the Baby and they both do a great job of playing "Daddy" with their Babies right along with playing swords and Spider-man. Last, all the Boys got their Summer hair-cuts on Saturday. Yep, they got buzzed! Those would be our highlights lately!
